Passwords

[WIP] Accessing the livecode password database

We store passwords for all of the collective accounts in a KeePass database which is store in out GitLab org. To access it you will need take the following steps

Access Gitlab

If you don't already have a gitlab account you will need to sign up for a free account.

After you have an account send your username or email address to Gwen, Ramsey, or Cameron who can add you to the passwords git repository.

Pull the repository

You can now use git or your preferred GUI git client to clone the repo.
For Example:
git clone gitlab.com/livecodenyc/password-management.git

Open the keepass file

You should now have a folder titled password-managment with a file titled Database.kdbx. To open the kdbx file you will need a KeePass Compatible clients
We suggest
| KeePassXC
Once you've installed KeePassXC you can do File>Open and you will be asked for a password. This password is shared person to person so ask Ramsey, Gwen, or Cameron for the password.
Then you can simply type or copy it in and the database will unlock and you can see all of the passwords.
